We have different ways to create a customized email address, you can set up a custom email address in two ways either you purchase through a web hosting company for low as $2.96 per month from GoDaddy or Bluehost or using your cPanel to create one. In this tutorial, I will show you how you can use your cPanel to create a custom Email for free.
To have a customize Email address, you need to have a web hosting account before we can create a customize Email address for your website or business. But if you haven’t registered with a web hosting provider yet, you can do so using Qserver, Guarantor, GoDaddy, Bluehost or any web hosting company of your choice. Once all your registration has been successfully created, you will be notified with the login details of your cPanel in the email address you used in registering.
How to Create a custom Email Address from Your cPanel Account
- Log on to your cPanel account like (yoursite.com/cpanel), Now enter your username and password sent to you on your Email address.
- On the main page of your cPanel account, scroll down to the Email section then click on Email Account.
- Fill in the fields correctly. E.g. Enter the name you want your Email account should look like (info, contact, admin, editor and so on) then enter your password correctly.
- Click on the Create account button.
- Click yes on the confirmation page to access the mailbox
How Do I know Mails that have been sent to my custom Email Address?
The mailbox gives you that opportunity to access and send emails. You can access the mailbox directly on your cPanel dashboard immediately you click on the Create Account button. Or
- Go to yoursite.com/cpanel
- Now enter the details of your Email address and password you created earlier and click on the Log In button
- Choose any email provider of your choice. (Horde, Roundcube, SquirrelMail) and set as default
- You will now be login to your customized email address dashboard. Where you will be able to receive and send messages.
How to create a customized email address using Gmail or Yahoo
- Go to yoursite.com/cpanel
- scroll down to the Email section
- Go to Forwarders
- Click on Add Forwarder button, and enter the details correctly.
That all you now have a custom email address
