It is very important to change password frequently to prevent hackers from accessing your Gmail account. which also makes it more difficult for you to access your account because you are more likely to forget that new password. So if you have fallen into this trap, don’t worry yourself at all, because Google has a way you can use to retrieve back your forgotten password.
Here is how you can recover your Forgotten password
Step 1: log in to Gmail.com on your browser, and enter the particular Gmail address you want to recover.
Step 2: Click On Forgot password?
Step 3: Enter your last password if you could remember but if you can’t, Click On try another way to find the best option that suits your need. Note that if you enter the right password you will be notified that “Success – you are signed in now.
You entered your current password, so you can continue to your Google Account. You can still change your password if you want”
Click on the continue button if you don’t want to change your password, but if you want to change your password scroll down to the Change password option.
But if you can’t remember your last password Click on TRY ANOTHER WAY and you will be taking to another page stating that GET A VERIFICATION CODE enter the phone number you use in registering your Gmail account and you will be given two options TEXT or CALL select the one that you prefer the most.
Step 4: Enter the 6-digit code you receive on your phone and click on NEXT and you will be notified to reset your password. Follow the instruction carefully to reset your Gmail password
